Today I will give you a customer case for chemical reactor chiller selection.
In modern industrial production, reactors are used for various chemical reactions and physical reactions. In order to ensure the stability and safety of the reaction process, a chiller is needed to cool the reaction kettle. How to correctly select and configure an air-cooled industrial chiller for a reactor to ensure that it can meet the cooling needs of the reactor?

Problem Description
Our customer this time owns a small chemical factory that specializes in the production of various types of glue.
They use multiple reactors to perform various chemical reactions during the production process.
Since some reactions need to be carried out at specific temperatures and some reactions generate large amounts of heat, controlling the temperature of the reactor becomes a challenge.
Especially in summer, rising temperatures can cause reactions to run out of control or reduce efficiency.

Solution: Our team’s technical staff communicated with the chemical company online in advance and asked several questions about the reactor:
1. How big is the reactor and how many liters of water does it contain?
2. In what way is the temperature reduced? Is it through an interlayer? Or does the reactor have a built-in cooling coil to cool down?
3. Cooling time: Is it cooling during the reaction or cooling after the reaction?

Through the above three questions, you can basically determine the size of the chiller.

The next step is to go to the factory for on-site observation to determine whether the cooling method of the chiller is air cooling or water cooling and whether the size of the equipment needs to be changed.
In just one day, we customized the reaction kettle cooling plan for the customer and proposed a solution. We selected three 10-horsepower water-cooled chillers and a 50-ton cooling tower to install chillers around the reactor to reduce the temperature. The chiller reduces the temperature of the reactor by circulating cold water to ensure that the reaction process can be carried out within the ideal temperature range.

After 5 working days, we delivered three 10-horsepower chillers and 50-ton cooling towers to the site on time to help with installation and commissioning. There were no problems with use after a week, and the cooling temperature also met the customer’s requirements, greatly improving customer production. efficiency,If you have any other questions about the chiller please contact us.
