How to solve the water blockage issue in a laser chiller?
Publishing Unit:Thacon
Laser chillers are widely used in industrial applications for cooling and temperature control of lasers. During operation, the environment and conditions can vary, with some customers having better conditions while others may face harsher environments. This can increase the probability of chiller malfunctions. In particular, customers with poor water quality or presence of oil on-site are prone to water blockage issues. Below is a simple analysis of common water blockage problems in chiller systems.
1.Start by identifying the specific location of the water blockage in the laser chiller, whether it is within the internal piping of the chiller or in the external water circulation system.
2.If the blockage is within the internal piping of the chiller, begin by flushing the pipes with clean water and using specialized cleaning tools such as air guns to clear the water circulation system. After unblocking the water paths, use clean distilled water or purified water to minimize the impact of water quality on the piping. During regular usage, it is important to regularly replace the circulating cooling water in the laser chiller. The frequency of water replacement depends on the usage environment:
a) For environments with good conditions such as dedicated spaces or laboratories with no impurities or contamination, circulating water can be replaced approximately every six months.
b) In harsh environments with severe pollution or poor conditions, it is recommended to replace the water every month. Additionally, the use of anti-scaling agents is advised to reduce scale formation and prevent water blockage.
c) In normal industrial environments, water replacement every two to three months is generally sufficient.
3.If there is a blockage or obstruction in the external water circulation system of the laser chiller, users can inspect the external water circulation pipes of the chiller and ensure the smooth flow of the external circulation system.
In addition to regular replacement of the circulating water, it is also important to periodically clean the dust filter and remove any dust from the condenser. This ensures that the chiller unit can operate efficiently, improving performance and extending its lifespan. The above information provides a simple summary of water blockage issues in laser chillers and hopefully proves helpful to you.
